It can be any number, there is no rule. However, 15 pages, 5 km, the words would be good.
It depends on the preferences of some people is what they think is a good number of pages in a book.
My personal preference is range from 8-14 pages. If chapters are too long, so that it almost read a burden, because I want to be, this chapter once put it. Then, when that happens, I do not really look at what happened, because I am focusing on the chapter you more.
Take for example these two popular series of books: Twilight and Maximum Ride. Quite different in terms of the number of pages per chapter. (I have these two, because most people have read, you probably know what I'm talking with them)
Maximum Ride chapters are about five pages. In general, shorter. There is a small set on the inside of the first book I remember something like "These pages will only fly, ready for launch." Not word for word, but in this sense. And that is very true. The shorter chapters just easier to read. I think it was OCIAUSE I had many opportunities for a break, but the fact that this short cliffhangers kept me reading. And I knew I did not take long to see what happens next, as the next chapter is only three pages. Does that make sense?
And then, at dusk, goes Stephenie Chapter 20-30 + pages. For me, it is difficult to read without stopping much. I would agree only with the chapter, as I said, I am beginning to move away from concentrating on the book. Can be completely different for others, but these are my personal experiences.
So for me it seems useful, Page 8-14. Not too long, but not too short. I hope that helped! :)

It depends on the number of chapters that you want. I usually twenty or fifteen chapters, each chapter is seven to ten pages. However, do not focus on the length of the book, so make sure that you want to happen in this chapter is clear and everything will be alright.
